What Studio is
Somewhere useful, welcoming and real
Studio is a public café and community space run by TIFA Life CIC. It has a particular purpose: helping care leavers and young people who arrived in the UK without a parent or carer to build connections, confidence and independence.
You do not have to know exactly what help you need. Start with a conversation. We can listen, help work out the next step and connect you with the right person or service where specialist support is needed.

Learn in a working place
Studio includes a working café, venue and hostel. That makes it possible to learn in a real environment, with real customers, routines and responsibilities.
Specific training, work experience and paid roles depend on availability, suitability and the support agreed with each young person.
How to use Studio
Three ways to start

Visit the public café
Studio is open to everyone during published café hours. Come in for a drink, meet someone or get a feel for the space.

Join an activity or pathway
Some workshops, skills sessions and employment pathways are planned in advance. Contact us or ask your worker what is currently available.
03
Come through a partner
A social worker, college, charity or support organisation can contact Studio to discuss an introduction, activity or partnership.
Joined-up support
Studio, the young person app and TIFA Connect
Studio is the physical place. Where a young person is supported by TIFA, the TIFA young person app and TIFA Connect can help keep agreed information, actions and progress joined up with the staff supporting them.
