Community Funding & Support in Swansea
Studio Café Swansea is built and maintained through a blend of trading income, grants, and partnerships. This is our hub for everything funding-related.
We're a community-first venue operated by TIFA Life CIC. Our funding model blends income from the café, venue, and accommodation with grants and partnerships that support youth employment, creative opportunity, and Swansea city-centre regeneration. Below: the three funding streams that matter most to us.
Creative Space Funding
We work with funders who support independent creative space — artist residencies, gig programming subsidies, and accessible ticketing. See our Creative Funding page.
- •Arts Council of Wales partnerships
- •Music Venue Trust grassroots programme
- •Local authority creative grants
Regeneration Funding
As a Mansel Street site in central Swansea, we contribute to the council's city-centre regeneration agenda — footfall, jobs, and cultural programming. See our Regeneration Funding page.
- •Swansea Council city-centre schemes
- •Welsh Government Transforming Towns
- •Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF)
Youth & Skills Funding
Our parent CIC supports young people into employment and training. We partner with youth-focused funders to run meaningful skills programmes. See our Youth Funding page.
- •Apprenticeship and training partnerships
- •Care-leaver employment pathways
- •Youth Music and creative skills grants
